Honey Almond Handmade Soap

Hello dear spring, I’ve missed you!

With this new season come some (more) changes for the Soap Kitchen.  In an effort to streamline productivity, product photography (this will become more evident in the Etsy shop, soon) and also help out our more sensitive-skinned customers, SSK’s products will now be dye/colorant/pigment free.  The soap will (as always) still be the same skin-loving and fabulously scented soap, but with one less ingredient. I think we can all appreciate that, yes? Good! You guys are the best.

More good news? The bars will be getting a little bit bigger!  What’s even better? You won’t be paying more for it :)

And a last bit of good news, Elle over at Nault’s Nook is hosting a giveaway, and you can win a free bar of my soap AND a solid perfume: in whatever scents you choose! So head on over there and check it out.

Thanks for stopping by!

New Soap Formulation – Now with extra hydration!
Saturday 20 February 2010 9:33 pm

If you’re a regular SSK customer (and can I say – thank you!?) and you order soap, that upon arrival looks a little different.. don’t be alarmed! I’m tweaking my formula/recipe a little, adding this (colloidal oatmeal for extra hydration) and subtracting that (titanium dioxide – a natural white pigment that makes the soap a little opaque) and making a better bar of soap in the process. You’ll get all the lather and great scent that you love, with a little extra oomph.

And the best part? You won’t pay extra!

In other news…

I’ll be having a special on Gift Baskets soon – just in time for the upcoming holidays! (What do you mean “which holidays?!” You do remember that Easter & Mother’s Day are coming up, right? :) ) The next post will have all that info, so be sure to check back soon!

The Spring Newlsetter Has Sprung!
Friday 12 February 2010 5:58 pm

If you’re not receiving the Savannah Soap Kitchen newsletter – why not?! You can sign up for it over there on the right – or you can just keep checking out this page and view it online. I’d say I manage to get out 4-6 newsletters per year, so as to not constantly bombard any inboxes :)

You’ll get the scoop on what’s new, what’s coming – and there’s always a coupon.

In other news, I’m working on adding new scents to the Etsy shop and I’ve done some spring cleaning over in the main shop. Also, if you’ve read my newsletter, you’ll noticed I have a (so far) “Untitled” men’s fragrance. Well friends, it’s untitled no more!

After some good ol’ customer feedback, I’ve come up with a name I think fits: Adonis. It’s the perfect men’s scent and Adonis was the perfect man, right? Right! So there you have it. Expect that to be in circulation soon, along with the other new scents: Cherry Blossom, Southern Jasmine, Grapefruit, Strawberry and Apple Tart. Yummy!

Thanks for reading :)

New Soap Packaging – sort of.
Saturday 30 January 2010 3:37 pm

Handmade Soap Packaging - Savannah Soap Kitchen

Hello friends! Just a heads up: You may receive a mix of square and rectangle bars – depending on what I have in stock, but rest assured the soap is the same :) The packaging is practically the same too, but a little cuter and the new bars will be fully wrapped.

What else? I’m working on adding a couple new fragrances for spring (hint: they’re floral!) and another new product: lip balm! If you’re a Savannah Soap Kitchen fan on Facebook, you’ve already got a sneak peek. If not, check it out!

Thanks for stopping by :)
