New product – Tybee Island Ocean Potion
Friday 17 July 2009 7:09 pm

I’ve been testing this for a few weeks now – and I think I’ve finally got it! A luxuriously thick whipped soap with extra sea salt for an oceanic experience. Works as a regular old soap, just dab it on and lather away – also great for a long foot soaking (if anyone has that kind of time these days) and a once-weekly facial treatment. I’ve even used it as shampoo!

2 oz jars are available here, and on Etsy – and if they go over well, I might stock them in 4 or 8 oz sizes soon :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Samplers have arrived!
Saturday 11 July 2009 7:10 pm

The Savannah Soap Kitchen Summer Soap Sampler is now available for purchase ! Featuring three fantastically scented soaps, including: Watermelon, Cucumber and Pink Lemonade. The perfect treat for a bit of relaxation after a hot summer day out on the lake, after mowing the lawn – whenever!

The Pink Lemonade is my personal favorite, but they are all great. Watermelon even has blueberry seeds inside for exfoliation.

Go on and try one, I double-dog dare ya :)

SSK Referral Program = Free handmade soap for you!
Friday 10 July 2009 2:23 pm

Free Handmade Soap!

Everyone loves a freebie, right? Of course! Well, here’s an opportunity to get yourself some free handmade soap.

I’m starting a referral program. What’s that mean? That means – You: the handmade soap loving person that you are, refer my soaps to a friend, family member, coworker – whoever, and for every three people you refer to my shop (who make a purchase and mention your code) you get a free bar of soap!

How does it work? First: You e-mail me (SavannahSoapKitchen@gmail.com) and I’ll give you a referral code. You can then use a pre-written snippet (see example below) or write your own little ditty, to share your referral code with people. Once I see that 3 people have used your code when purchasing soap from me, I’ll e-mail you and ask what scent you’d like for your free 4oz (that’s right, a full size bar) soap! It’s that simple.

So, what are you waiting for? Start working toward that free soap today!

Example of referral code e-mail I will send to you:
“Thank you for your interest in my referral program. Here is your unique referral code: CODE123
You can give this out to friends, family members, coworkers – whoever you like! Below is text that you can copy and paste, forward or print, with instructions for referral code use.
(Feel free to edit the personal parts to suit your own style :) )

Dear friend, I would like to share a wonderful handmade soap shop with you. It’s called the Savannah Soap Kitchen. They sell luxurious handmade bath and body products and I love them!
I’m also part of their referral program that you can get in on too! If you’d like to help me out, simply make a purchase from the Savannah Soap Kitchen at www.savannahsoapkitchen.com/shop or www.savannahsoapkitchen.etsy.com and mention my referral code: CODE123 when checking out.

For every 3 people that use my code with a purchase, I get a free bar of soap! You can even sign up for the referral program too, to get your own free soap – just e-mail SavannahSoapKitchen@gmail.com and ask about the referral program.

Thanks!”

HGTV House Hunters – Savannah, GA Soap Shop
Monday 6 July 2009 1:12 pm

That wasn’t me (or my shop – I’m strictly online, currently) on last night’s episode of House Hunters, but thanks to everyone who’s been stopping by to see if it was!

Update: You can find the soaps featured on last nights episode at nourish at 202 W Broughton Street in downtown Savannah – or online at www.nourishsavannah.com :)

And also – a huge thanks to one of my fabulous customers’ (Miss April) suggestions, I’ll be rolling out a few new scents soon and a little something we’re calling “The Summer Sampler” (it’s like my Holiday Sampler – only summery!)

The new scents will include: Watermelon, Cucumber and Pink Lemonade. Catchier names may follow :) But – Yum!

PS
Did you notice I have gift sets for sale in the Etsy store?

Thanks for visiting!

Savannah Soap Kitchen – now on Tybee!

The View - 3/365

We’ve moved! And by we, I mean my husband and I – but the soap came too :) Since there was no “brick and mortar” store, the move was quite easy. Once things calm down, I may look into putting some soap into a shop or two here on Tybee, so if you’re ever in the area, you could stop by!

But, that’s a little on down the line. First things first, look at our view (pictured above.)
It’s so nice sitting out on our little porch, enjoying the cool sea breeze. Wish you were here!
